The Belem, a three-masted ship with a square-headed lighthouse and a steel hull, is the last of the great 19th-century French merchant sailing ships still on the water: a maritime adventure that has lasted 126 years, having lived no less than five lives, changed nationality three times, and finally returned to the tricolored flag of her origins, cheating death, surviving where thousands of other, bigger, more powerful, newer sailing ships have disappeared forever!

Une aventure maritime qui dure depuis 126 ans en ayant vécu pas moins de cinq vies, changé trois fois de nationalité pour finir par retrouver le pavillon tricolore de ses origines, trompant la mort, survivant là où des milliers d’autres voiliers, plus grands, plus puissants, plus neufs, ont disparu à jamais !
