Description :

A1 Beginner

• Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.
• Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
• Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows and things he/she has.

A2 Elementary

• Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
• Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
• Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

Course objectives :

The objective is to familiarise the learner with the French language and French culture through an entertaining task-based communicative language teaching focused on speaking.

Full range of practical communication language exercises: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression, oral expression.

The learners will be able to use the foreign language in a simple way for the following purposes:

giving and obtaining factual information:

• personal information (e.g. about name , address, place of origin, date of birth, education, occupation)
• non-personal information (e.g. about places and how to get there, about the time of day, about various facilities and services, about rules and regulations, about opening hours, about where and what to eat, etc., leisure activities and social life)
