Who is José Noce?
Full-time visual artist, since his retirement from national education in September 2010, he has been for the past 20 years a French teacher at the ESAAT, a higher school of applied arts and textiles in Roubaix, France. But he is also a musician, and has been painting, drawing, photography, writing (poetry, novels, aphorisms), sculpting, for more than 40 years “… I call my artistic work playful, because I constantly experiment, like a child discovering life, with admiration, sometimes worry, but always having fun… I try to match humor, poetry, chromatic shocks, nature, animals, plants, comics, people, via the literary culture of my studies, and the slow maturation that it gave me, through the books so diverse that I devoured with appetite…”
An exhibition proposed by Carrérond and Cordillera as part of the Multicultural Sundays.
