Erbaut aus dem 16. Jahrhundert, hat das Schloss eine bewegte Geschichte und viele Besitzer erlebt. Der Bau des heutigen Gebäudes begann 1507, als Barthélemy Séguier das Land von La Verrière kaufte. Im 17. Jahrhundert wurde es um Gärten erweitert, die den größten Landschaftsarchitekten und Gärtnern anvertraut wurden. Die Aussicht auf den Park, der heute unter dem Schutz der historischen Denkmäler steht, könnte daher von Le Nôtre geschaffen worden sein. In den 1950er Jahren wurde es von der MGEN (Mutuel Générale de l'Education Nationale) übernommen, um ein innovatives psychiatrisches Zentrum unter der Leitung von Marcel Rivière, Lehrer und Gründungspräsident der MGEN, einzurichten.

Built from the 16th century, the castle has a turbulent history and many owners. If the construction of the current building began in 1507, with the purchase of the land of La Verrière by Barthélemy Séguier, it was enriched in the 17th century with gardens entrusted to the greatest landscapers and gardeners. So the perspective of the park, today protected under the title of Historical Monuments, could have been created by Le Nôtre. In the 1950s, it was bought by the MGEN (Mutuelle Générale de l'Education Nationale) to set up an innovative psychiatric centre under the aegis of Marcel Rivière, a teacher and founding president of the MGEN.

Costruito a partire dal XVI secolo, il castello ha conosciuto una storia movimentata e numerosi proprietari. Se la costruzione dell'edificio attuale è iniziata nel 1507, con l'acquisto della terra di La Verrière da parte di Barthélemy Séguier, è stato arricchito nel 17 º secolo di giardini affidati ai più grandi paesaggisti e giardinieri.
