Anthropologist and photographer Claire Galloni d’Istria presents the photographic exhibition Wild, As the Wolf at the Ruine art gallery from January 7 to 12 - opening reception on January 8 at 6:00 PM

Both a sign of cultural "involution" and evidence of "nature's" restoration through rewilding, the wolf embodies a complex amalgam of overlapping, often contradictory representations shared by all. As a symbol of the wild in Europe, this animal provides both an individual and collective space to question our own wildness. The photographic exhibition Wild, Like the Wolf invites reflection and exploration of what the wild represents to us and its role in our society.
The photographs of Claire Galloni d’Istria, the result of an alpine ethnography, will be exhibited at the RUINE art gallery from January 7 to 12, 2025, with an opening reception on Wednesday, January 8, at 6:00 PM. They will then be showcased at the ART NOW PROJECTS gallery, accompanied by a performance, on Wednesday, April 9, at 6:30 PM.

L’anthropologue et photographe Claire Galloni d’Istria présente l’exposition photographique Sauvage, comme le loup à la galerie d’art Ruine du 7 au 12 janvier - vernissage le 8 janvier à 18:00.

A la fois signe d'involution culturelle et preuve de réparation de la « nature » par son ré ensauvagement, le loup endosse un amalgame d’une multitude de représentations en action co-existantes, parfois contradictoires, et partagées entre tous. Symbole du sauvage en Europe, cet animal nous offre un espace individuel et collectif au sein duquel nous pouvons interroger notre propre sauvagerie. L'exposition photographique "Sauvages comme le loup" invite à l'interrogation et l'exploration de ce que représente le sauvage pour nous et de son rôle de nos jours.
Fruits d'une enquête ethnographique alpine, les photographiques de Claire Galloni d’Istria sont exposées à la galerie d’art RUINE du 7 au 12 janvier 2025 avec un vernissage le mercredi 8 janvier à 18h00, puis à la galerie d’art ART NOW PROJECTS avec performance, le mercredi 9 avril à 18h30.
