In the confines of a car, a father and his two adult children try to talk to each other without ever agreeing on the events that have marked their lives. What has really happened? This play is inspired by real stories... or not... because nobody agrees on the facts. The collective story is modified by individual feelings. And vice versa. In the end, the truth lies nowhere and everywhere. As the car sets off on its journey, intimate landscapes unfold, between the real and the imagined, the past and the present. We pass through them in a succession of fragmented narratives that betray the vulnerabilities of each person; the narratives and mythologies that have locked them into their point of view. It's an immense solitude that they have to come to terms with in order to maintain their own identity within the family unit. Written and directed by Anouk Werro, with co-construction and a space by Mélissa Rouvinet based on the three performers Margot Van Hove, Nicolas Roussi & Jean-Yves Ruf, this family road bad-trip promises to shake and make the child - and perhaps the parent - in us laugh or cry or both.

Dans le huis-clos d’une voiture, un père et ses deux enfants adultes tentent de se parler sans jamais tomber d’accord sur les évènements qui jalonnent leur vie. Que s’est-il vraiment passé? Cette pièce s’inspire d’histoires réelles… ou pas… puisque personne ne s’accorde sur les faits. L’histoire collective est modifiée par le ressenti individuel. Et vice-versa. Finalement, la vérité réside nulle part et partout. À mesure que la voiture trace sa route, des paysages intimes se déploient, entre réel et imaginaire, passé et présent. Nous les traversons grâce à une succession de récits fragmentés qui trahissent les vulnérabilités des uns et des autres; les récits et les mythologies qui les ont enfermé dans leur point de vue. C’est une immense solitude qu’il faut assumer pour conserver son identité propre au sein de la cellule familiale. Écrit et mis en scène par Anouk Werro avec la co-construction et un espace de Mélissa Rouvinet à partir des trois interprètes Margot Van Hove, Nicolas Roussi & Jean-Yves Ruf, ce road bad-trip familial promet d’ébranler et faire rire ou pleurer ou les deux l’enfant – et peut-être le parent – que nous sommes.
