Festival Chahuts #32
Chahuts is an association born in the Saint-Michel district of Bordeaux, which is dedicated to the arts of the word, as an artistic discipline but also as a relationship to the world: the art of circulating the word, the art of listening to it, enhancing it or analysing it. On the edge of the cultural and social fields, Chahuts offers a unique space for artists and inhabitants to meet, during immersive residencies, which resonate with the environment or context.
Chahuts rubs shoulders with differences, seeks to weave living links, encourages the expression of all and sharpens its love of risk, invention and high standards every day. The association's approach is long-term, thanks to co-construction with partners: inhabitants, associations and cultural or social operators, a deep involvement in different territories, and by networking with numerous partners. Its ethical stance aims to involve everyone with the same consideration - artists, institutions, local authorities, cultural and socio-cultural structures, associations and people of all kinds - and to invent together processes and productions that respect the singularity of each. In June, Chahuts, a festival of the spoken word, is the joyful and festive culmination of its year-round action.
