The Jardin du Luxembourg is a group of gardens of different styles, located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, created in 1612 under the reign of Marie de Medici. The garden has a "French-style" part located in the axis of the palace and "English-style" parts on the side of Rue Guynemer, as well as an orchard. The Senate also administers and manages a group of greenhouses that are both a place of plant production for the embellishment of the garden and the floral decoration of the Palais du Luxembourg as well as a place of conservation of a plant heritage dating from the mid-19th century.
