In 1985, William Christie fell in love with an estate in Thiré, where he set out to create a garden from scratch. Since it is not a single garden, but a succession of spaces as remarkable as eclectic as he imagined over the years, in a process of permanent creation and inspired by the art of gardens as it reached its peak in France and Italy in the 17th and IVIII centuries
