THE ABBEY OF LA SAUVE-MAJEURE The masterpiece of Romanesque art. Built between the 11th and 13th centuries and famous for its capitals, the abbey presents exceptional sculptures and remains.
A landscape out of time. Around a large meadow and beautiful trees, the site of the abbey unfolds open-air on more than two hectares enclosed by a wall.
In the heart of Entre-deux-Mers. Between Garonne and Dordogne, the abbey takes its name from the «Silva Major»: the big forest.
