Water games and golden stones, new facilities to discover!
Created in 2008, the garden of the Rejonière of 3000 m² is flourishing between vineyards, pastures and forests, facing the medieval village of Ternand. It is nestled within a dry stone enclosure, of golden stones, punctuated by a cadole, a mineral reflection of Beaujolais traditions.
Designed as a laboratory, the garden allows the observation and experimentation of flowers and foliage to cut, usable for the realization of floral creations. The garden houses a rich botanical diversity composed of perennial plants, roses and shrubs originally dedicated to floral art, the plants have been carefully selected for this purpose.
No fertilizers or pesticides are applied in the garden, The weeding is exclusively manual and selective to preserve spontaneous seeding. Tree and shrub pruning and deflation are designed to promote insects, birds and seed dispersal. The melliferous species are particularly appreciated in the garden.
The garden is in constant evolution. It is enriched and diversified as the desires, the encounters, the
discoveries, but also of the climate and seedlings, favor or detract from rain, sun, insects or animals. The landscaping of the garden allows the visitor to immerse himself in different atmospheres.
The original flower section is divided into rooms of colours, yellow, red, purple… The strict geometric layout highlights the diversity of heights, textures, flowering, foliage, harbours, and mobility according to the winds.
The rose garden is expressed in all seasons by its varieties of ascending roses perfumed and decorative fruits.
The boudoir is a piece of freshness and intimacy. This allegory of fresh undergrowth houses a fountain and shade plants with green foliage.
The garden crisscrossed by its golden stone path is of Alpine-Mediterranean inspiration. It consists of flowering cushions and drought-resistant plants.
It is interesting to see in this garden the plants as artistic creations of nature, which can be all or part of a decor. You will discover in this way, leaving room for observation and imagination, many textures, shapes, colors and materials. And this, in perpetual evolution as the seasons go by.
The guided tour takes you back to the heart of the garden. The visitor will discover its history and the way it was laid out. We mix technique with aesthetics. We will exchange on the plants, an approach of gardener who rubs them all the year from the seedling to the adult subject and to the seed.
The Rejonière Gardens are open for free and free visits all year round.
