Since its creation, the Seghetti Panichi Historical Park has given evidence of change according to the centuries of its existence. On a historical level, the evidence of transformations in the use of the cultural asset, on a botanical level, at the end of the nineteenth century, the creation of a romantic landscape garden with Anglo-Ligurian influences due to the great wisdom of the German gardener and botanist Ludwig Winter. In 2005, with the opening of the bio-energy pathways studied by Arch. Nieri, opens up a new level of fruition attentive to the psycho-physical well-being of the visitor. Today, after the very serious seismic phase of 2016 and the pandemic of 2020, we are at the fourth level. We open up to new perspectives of enhancement through digital communication, teaching and training.
Furthermore, it is a great recognition for the Seghetti Panichi Historical Park, to be among the 136 winners at national level of the PNRR "Historical Parks and Gardens". This great stimulus derived from European programming will bring the historic garden back to its former glory, with a projection of environmental sustainability at the community level for social welfare. As Gustav Mahler rightly taught us, "the valorisation of tradition implies the custody of the fire and not the cult of the ashes."
