The Garden of the Palazzo Marchesale probably dates back to the seventeenth century when the feudal lord of the time, Giorgio Castriota, to build his new residence had demolished the ancient castle, attested in previous documents, in the place of which he had finally been able to build a building exclusively for residential use, thanks to the new housing needs and the disappearance of the primary needs of defense. The general scheme that characterizes the garden consists of a mesh of orthogonal paths that divide the area into a series of rectangular or square flower beds and that can certainly be traced back to an intervention prior to the seventeenth century.
