The Pouyouleix Arboretum is an ecological park in which a collection of trees complemented the existing one and adapted to the conditions naturally offered by the site. Guided by a scientific approach and the desire to present a collection of the genus Quercus (oaks), the owners travel the world in search of seeds. The tree collection was planted geographically according to the three regions important for the genus which has more than 450 species spread over the surface of the globe. In Pouyouleix, the collection made up of 855 trees, and completed each year, was certified by the Conservatory of Specialized Plant Collections (CCVS) in 2012.
