Parc de la Faucherie
Route de Monsidun, Le Bonnodeau
- Charente-Maritime
- Nouvelle-Aquitaine
The general layout is typical of the «English gardens» with large, straight and curved alleys, lined with large trees of various species. All this diversity, both vegetal, with several thousand trees and plants, as animal, with a highly developed fauna, represents a tremendous ecological wealth. The park must be more than 200 years old (in its current form). Some trees, including a Lebanese cedar, are over 300 years old. The site’s singularity is rooted in the nature of the geological subsurface (quaternary silt complex).
