La Marchesa: a garden of 76 hectares made from the rows of vineyards, the lake, the well-pruned boxwood hedges and the rows of orchards
The visit of the gardens of the Marchesa begins from the terrace of the roses that dominates the expanse of the 76 hectares of the estate with the 58 hectares of the garden-vineyard that, with its long rows marks the landscape up to the water garden of the lake where the first leaves of lotus flowers begin to sprout. We then move on to the orchard garden marked by cypresses as in the gardens of ancient Rome; aromatic herbs and fruit plants are used regularly for what is offered by our farm together with the products of the garden. The visit continues with the Italian garden in front of the balustrade that marks the access to the villa, a much loved and hand-trimmed garden! You can see the last flowering Iris and the first Hemerocallis Stella de Oro. Then visit the chapel of the villa, national monument of the eighteenth century, the old cellar, the lemon house with the wine museum, the modern cellar with free tasting of wines of the Estate, Gavi and forgotten red autochthons with aromas of the grape ranging from white pepper to black cherry, to spices with hints of licorice.
