About the location

Jardin de Culture(s) en Herbe(s)
Impasse Gobetue, Montreuil (Parcelle au fond à droit)
  • Seine-Saint-Denis
  • Île-de-France
Created in 2009, the association Culture(s) en Herbe(s) aims to create spaces for learning around the living (planter experiments, local biodiversity, living environments, uses of plants, etc.). The Walls to Peaches of Montreuil are orchards, on 34 hectares, separated by walls. Introduced in the 16th century, the cultivation of peach trees in «crappy trellising» consists of growing fruit trees against a plaster-coated wall so that they can enjoy the heat of the sun’s reverberation. The relationship between ecology and social experimentation is at the heart of our thinking. Culture(s) en Herbe(s) runs garden workshops in a plot of the fishing walls of Montreuil, addressed primarily to vulnerable audiences while remaining open to all inhabitants.
