Concert in the garden of Villa Audiat
Closing concert of Rendez-vous aux jardins. "OKALI is a Cameroonian surname that means "Pay attention to others." Like the painters of naive art, and wishing to remain in symbolism, OKALI composes without code, in order to live the music in its most instinctive form. Through an aesthetic of suggestion, this project invokes the visible signs of a mysterious world, where the image merges with the melodies. It is a journey with Afro Trip Hop, dub, and rock sounds, whose guitar waves, and embodied voices, are the beats of a sensitive music.
OKALI unfolds in this region that becomes a singular inner place... Crossing the bridges between the worlds, a pagan priestess or princess of a forgotten people opens the way by oscillating between several denominations, bringing together several arts. In total self production, two professional musicians are at the base of the project (Gaëlle MINALI BELLA and Florent SORIN).
Within OKALI, music is systemically linked to art in all its forms by collaborating with many artists (artwork, sculpture, photography, video art... ).
Over time and meetings, the team around them has grown, allowing the release of a 5-track EP in 2024, accompanied by a series of concerts."
