Exceptionally, the Carré d'Art library transports its bookshelves to the gardens for a bucolic weekend. Browse at leisure, installed in comfortable deckchairs in the shade of lime trees, a selection of adult and youth books chosen by librarians, listen to music, discover board games.

Public gardens created in the XVIIIth century by Jacques Philippe Mareschal, military engineer of the king Louis XV, on the location of a sanctuary of the roman time. Compound(Made up) of two distinct environmental spaces: French-style classic garden centered on the founding source(spring) of the city and romantic garden done up in the XIXth century on the slopes of the Mount-rider.
