Saturday, June 1, 2024, you can visit for free the Romantic English Park of the Castle of Monticello d'Alba, on the occasion of the anniversary "Appointment in the Garden", under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and, At 18.00, you can attend the free cello concert of the musician Simona Colonna in the evocative atmosphere of the park. The park of the Castle of Monticello d'Alba is the protagonist of an enhancement project funded by the PNRR call "Programs to enhance the identity of the places: historical parks and gardens" of the Ministry of Culture and, through free guided tours of the park with departures every hour, you can visit it and discover the history behind the castle. The park was designed in 1827 by the landscape architect Xavier Kurten according to the English romantic tradition and revisited in 1839 by the gardener Marcellino Roda. Through the redevelopment works it will be possible to bring it back to its former glory. The theme of this appointment in the garden will be to combine the experience of a guided tour in the external and internal spaces of the castle with the five senses. For this reason, we will have the opportunity to refine our hearing on the notes of cello, through a free concert by the cellist Simona Colonna, eclectic Piedmontese artist, singer-songwriter, flutist and cellist. Accompanied by his cello, Quixote, he tells himself through the songs he composed and that he proposes in his concerts, like the paintings of a skilled storyteller who fills the sound of folk nuances of world music.
