Jardins partagés de l'Aiguebelle
Impasse des jardins, 11310 Saissac
In an exceptional site in the Audoise Black Mountain and on the edge of the Aiguebelle River, former communal gardens in terraces, characteristic of the village, are brought back into cultivation by the association of the same name on an area of more than 1,000 m2\. This project is part of a dynamic of landscape rehabilitation, solidarity with the donation of vegetables to people in difficulty and pedagogy. Experimenting with permaculture methods, gardeners share and raise awareness of the protection of life by organizing "explora-terre" workshops for children and training sessions on trees for example. A communal orchard was recently created under the impetus of the association with the support of a fruit conservatory where the planted species were chosen for their adaptability to climate change in this territory.
