With its 2.5 hectares of green spaces, the Abbey of Prémontrés is the ideal place for a school outing around the theme of gardens. Four animations will be proposed by rotation of 30 mn. With an educational booklet, students will walk through different types of gardens (cloister, French garden) to identify their particularities. A mediator will then guide them through the exhibition "Enamels, Longwy’s Blue Gold" and highlight the importance of nature in art. In a more playful way, our gardener, Alexandra, will lead a gardening workshop and present her craft to children. A creative workshop entitled "Draw Me Your Garden" will also be set up. In addition, and on request, a picnic taken from the bag, at the edge of the Moselle, can close the morning or open an afternoon of discoveries.
