Musée de l'ancienne malterie de champagne
Impasse de la malterie, 10600 La Chapelle-Saint-Luc, Grand Est, France
La Malterie de Champagne: founded in 1883 by the Bonnette brothers. Its main activity was to transform barley into malt (the raw material of whisky and beer). The Second World War caused a sharp drop in activity and two bombings hit it hard. The building of the Malterie de Champagne was acquired by the municipality in May 1994\. It is the only witness, for the City, of the economic activity and architecture of the late nineteenth century. Since 2000, it houses the museum of «L'ancienne Malterie de Champagne».
