Echoing the masterpieces of the permanent collections of the partner museums of the event "Yves Saint Laurent aux Musées", a part of the Maison de Couture’s archives – carefully compiled by Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent – are presented at the Yves Saint Laurent Museum in Paris.
Mostly unpublished, these archives make it possible to read the factory of the models, to feel the life of the fashion house, to understand the creative process but also to pay tribute to all those who participated in the realization of these models.
Thus, the exhibition of the Yves Saint Laurent Paris Museum celebrates the creation in the making. It evokes the fashion designer’s way of doing and seeing but also the mastery of the different workshops. It is a portrait of the fashion house.
