The Gambetta school was founded in 1913\. Then annex of the Turgot high school of Tourcoing, it is installed in a former mansion located Grande Rue. Between 1923 and 1927, a new building was built by the architect Albert Bührer, this time overlooking Boulevard Gambetta. These two buildings are back to back, but joined by an inner courtyard. Now a nursery and primary school, these buildings retain their remarkable architecture.
