Transport Minister Bertrand Saint-Jean is woken up in the middle of the night by his chief of staff. A coach tipped into a ravine. He’s going, he doesn’t have a choice. Thus begins the odyssey of a statesman in an increasingly complex and hostile world. Speed, power struggles, chaos, economic crisis... Everything follows each other and collides. One urgency drives away the other. What sacrifices are men prepared for? How far will they hold, in a state that devours those who serve it?

Le ministre des Transports Bertrand Saint-Jean est réveillé en pleine nuit par son directeur de cabinet. Un car a basculé dans un ravin. Il y va, il n'a pas le choix. Ainsi commence l’odyssée d’un homme d’État dans un monde toujours plus complexe et hostile. Vitesse, lutte de pouvoirs, chaos, crise économique... Tout s'enchaîne et se percute. une urgence chasse l'autre. à quels sacrifices les hommes sont-ils prêts? Jusqu'où tiendront ils, dans un État qui dévore ceux qui le servent?

Minister van vervoer Bertrand Saint-Jean wordt midden in de nacht gewekt door zijn stafchef. Een bus tipte in een ravijn. Hij gaat, hij heeft geen keus. Zo begint de odyssee van een staatsman in een steeds complexere en vijandige wereld. Snelheid, machtsstrijd, chaos, economische crisis... Alles gaat door en slaat toe. de ene noodsituatie achtervolgt de andere. op welke offers zijn mannen voorbereid? Hoe ver zullen ze staan, in een staat die degenen verslindt die het dienen?
