Photographic exhibition Vincent Brien

The travelling photographic exhibition Mares de Normandie aims to raise public awareness of the richness and fragility of the ponds, a structuring element of the Norman landscape. She contributes to creating a common culture around the ponds, drawing her inspiration from their stories, their uses, their heritage, landscape, and ecological interest in view of climate change. If photography appears as a tool for collecting objective data, it also proves to be an opportunity to take a poetic look at ponds and landscapes. This exhibition, through the choice of clichés, is therefore at the crossroads of sensitive and documentary approaches. It aims to encourage actors (individuals, managers of public spaces, planners, policy makers) to implement, depending on the context, actions of preservation, management, creation of ponds to restore ecological continuity, the environmental features of our territories. Photographs from the book "Mares en Normandie"

Vincent Brien

This exhibition is a continuation of actions already carried out in partnership with the Agence de l'Eau Seine Normandie and the Centre photographique de Normandie.

The Conseil d'Architecture, d'Urbanisme et d'environnement de la Seine-Maritime offers a guided tour of its new headquarters: a 19th century house converted and enlarged by Laurent Protois, architect. The project reveals the heritage quality of the original architecture through the integration of a contemporary wooden extension, merging memory and modernity, in a wooded park containing several venerable trees.
