For more than 15 years, three brothers, three virtuosos, Samir, Wissam and Adnan, have travelled the world like a standard. To their credit 6 albums and multiple collaborations . One of the most beautiful is transcribed on the disc À l'Ombre des Mots where their music mixes with the words and voice of their friend Mahmoud Darwich . How to take the tradition of oud further … into the future ? The answers to their questions were found through the compositions and meetings that led the Joubran brothers to the production of this album. Meeting with Roger Waters, invited on several tracks (including Supremacy released on March 15, 2018) but also meeting with the director Renaud Letang who opens a new way in the production of the music of the Trio. Waves of keyboards, machines and compressors mix with tense melodies played in ouds opening a new field to the improvisations of Samir, Wissam and Adnan Joubran.
