Arabesque, the line are characteristic features of the arts of Islam. While visiting the exhibition, the children discover a bestiary drawn continuously by Picasso and modern Arab artists: the rooster, the bull, the cat and wonderful creatures like the Minotaur.
The workshop: Children experiment with animal drawing without ever raising the pencil. Trying to keep only what they consider essential in the animal.

The visit of the exhibition will be an opportunity to explore different graphic and dreamlike expressions such as those imagined by Picasso and modern Arab artists .
The workshop: The children put into practice the famous surrealist game of the exquisite corpse; they collectively compose a blind drawing without the other participants being able to draw inspiration from what was done before . The reservoir of apparitions is immense: imaginary and curious animals, unique and fun characters, etc.

Cubism offered many expressive possibilities for the representation of faces and bodies through deformation, fragmentation, multiplication of points of view and proportions.
The workshop: Children work in small groups and draw with chalk one mouth, the other an eye, a nose… Then they cut and recompose a face by making a moving portrait in the form of a mobile .

The visit of the exhibition is punctuated by playful breaks, observation games, riddles, memorization games where students discover works by Picasso, Arab avant-gardes and learn to read images while having fun.
