Each year, the Société des Amis de la Piscine offers conferences on major current exhibitions or art history.
Sunday, September 13, 2026 : So cute, the art of happiness, by Gunilla Lapointe
The history of art at the meeting of what brings us happiness, pleasure, comfort. When is the idea of the cute born? How is cute made? From the emotional power of animals from Antiquity to the present day, from the history of the invention of pink in the 18th century to glitter in art, from Cure to kawaii, why and how do works of art do us good?
The exhibition offers a journey through our emotions and their history. Musée du Louvre-Lens 23 September 2025 - 18 January 2027.

€5 for the Friends of La Piscine
€4 for students and job seekers
The lectures are given on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. in the Daniel Motte auditorium at La Piscine (it is wise to arrive a little early).

Chaque année la Société des Amis de La Piscine propose des conférences autour des grandes expositions en cours ou de l’histoire de l’art.
Dimanche 13 sept. 2026 : Trop mignon, l'art du bonheur, par Gunilla Lapointe
L’histoire de l’art à la rencontre de ce qui nous procure du bonheur, du plaisir, du réconfort. Quand naît l’idée du mignon ? Comment se fabrique le mignon ? Du pouvoir émotionnel des animaux de l’Antiquité à nos jours, de l’histoire de l’invention de la couleur rose au 18e siècle à la paillette en art, du Cure au kawaii, pourquoi et comment les oeuvres d’art nous font-elles du bien ?
L’exposition propose un voyage à travers nos émotions et leur histoire. Musée du Louvre-Lens 23 septembre 2025 - 18 janvier 2027.

5 € pour les Amis de La Piscine
4 € pour les étudiants et demandeurs d’emploi
Les conférences sont données le dimanche à 15h 30 à l’auditorium Daniel Motte à La Piscine (il est prudent d’arriver un peu à l’avance).

Elk jaar biedt de Vereniging van vrienden van het zwembad conferenties rond de grote tentoonstellingen in uitvoering of de geschiedenis van de kunst
Zondag 13 sept. 2026 : _Te schattig, de kunst van geluk_Door Gunilla Lapointe
De geschiedenis van de kunst ontmoet wat ons geluk, plezier, comfort geeft. Wanneer wordt geboren het idee van het schattige? Hoe wordt schattig gemaakt? Van de emotionele kracht van dieren uit de oudheid tot vandaag, van de geschiedenis van de uitvinding van roze kleur in de 18e eeuw tot glitter in de kunst, van genezing tot kawaï, waarom en hoe doen kunstwerken ons goed?
De tentoonstelling biedt een reis door onze emoties en hun geschiedenis. Musée du Louvre-lens 23 september 2025 - 18 januari 2027.

5 € voor vrienden van het zwembad
€ 4 voor studenten en werkzoekenden
Lezingen worden gegeven op zondag om 15 uur 30 in het Daniel Motte auditorium bij het zwembad (het is verstandig om een beetje van tevoren te arriveren).
