VISIT OF THE BUILDING SITE OF A BARN REHABILITATED IN HOUSE
The CAUE de l'Ain, in association with the Association des Architectes de l'Ain, offers a visit to a barn under construction with explanations from Magued Sabbagh Architect, Hervé Martineau Bricklayer specialized Pisa. Project designed by Magued Sabbagh.
The farm is located in the old village near the church with which it forms a remarkable heritage complex. It is built of rammed earth and covered with a roof with 4 sides with a large gallery to the east, side garden. The project completes this rehabilitation by intervening on the last south bay which includes a barn. It will be transformed into a library/ games room on its double height with the creation of a mezzanine inside. This new space will allow the occupants to open on the south (with a more generous sunshine) and to benefit from the view of the park through a terrace covered by a pergola. This project uses natural and reused materials, wood, terracotta, lime plaster with artisanal implementation.
