Author, composer, multi-instrumentalist and creator of bamboo musical instruments, Laurent Phenis comes from a culture of mixing.
From a young age, self-taught, he discovers a passion for music and it is in Martinique, in the middle of the forest, that bamboo challenges him.
He makes with, thus, many instruments: wind instruments, string instruments or percussion, everything is conceivable and envisaged by Laurent Phénis.
Laurent also mixes his musical creations with electric sounds. Passionate about diverse experiences, he rubs shoulders with and appropriates many styles (Afrobeat, rock, jazz, electro, zen music, traditional music). An eclectic artist who draws his substance from the plant matter of the island and resonates with the beauty and luxuriance of our forests.
