The Minck was erected near the wharf and inaugurated on Sunday, May 11, 1873\. The imposing hall was fully funded by the municipality. The interior of the long brick building, with the high windows and the zinc roof, on either side of the entrance stretched along the walls a series of marble vices for sale after the auction. Thanks to the construction of the Minck, the sanitary conditions knew a clear progress, the fish was well spread on tables, in a dry place and properly ventilated; it could also be temporarily stored in a clean basement if it had not found taker. The suppression of the municipal auction system, combined with the decline of the local fleet, led to the gradual disaffection of the Minck, which was mainly used in the 1930s for balls, fine wines and various types of meetings. The hall disappeared in the bombing of 1940 and was rebuilt a little further back from its original location, more inside the neighborhood.
