Discover this atypical place in the heart of the regional natural park of Lorraine: a priory founded in the 15th century. Throughout the exhibition, let yourself be carried away through the rich history of the place and its occupants. Explore the path of the oratories through meadows and forests (15 minutes walk maximum), to discover the hermitages of Saint Thiébault (patron saint of the place), Saint Rémi and Sainte Marie-Madeleine.

Founded in 1492 by the monks of Gorze Abbey, the Saint-Thiébault chapel was for a long time the site of an annual regional pilgrimage, until the advent of the Second World War. After a period of neglect from 1940 to 1982, the chapel was carefully restored and reintegrated into worship by a community of the Orthodox Church.
The many contemporary icons that adorn its walls are mainly the work of the iconographer residing in these places. The choir was entirely frescoed between 1985 and 1989, according to the ancient technique "a fresco" inherited from the Middle Ages, in a style reminiscent of Romanesque architecture by iconographer Patricia Ramos.
As for the nave, it was entirely painted "a secco" by the famous Russian artist of the Moscow School, Yaroslav Dobrynin. The altar, made by the Lorraine sculptor Joseph Kriegel, is a remarkable piece, while the bas-reliefs of the doors of the sanctuary and the Last Supper were shaped respectively by the Atelier Saint-Jean Damascène and the scu
