A constellation of looks unfolds on the pink skin of the Conservation and Resources Centre… With the installation Champs de visions, the artist Mathilde Rosier dresses the CCR’s façade with fifty glass eyes, as an invitation to come and see the collection more closely… These eyes also interact with the works and objects of the apartment witness, the reserve open to the public. An installation to discover during the European Heritage Days.

This big(great) monolith tinted with ochre conceived(designed) by the architect Corinne Vezzoni (associated with André Jollivet) contains the treasure of the collections of Mucem, that is more than a million objects. He(It) assures(insures) functions(offices) of preservation, of study and of restoration(catering) of collections, but also, in a more original way, of promotion(valuation). This double responsibility is the foundation of the activity of CCR. Professionals of museums, researchers, students, or simple curious and amateur can so have access in the entire collections, available for consultation on-the-spot. A "show flat" (reserves especially conceived(designed) for the welcome(reception) of visitors) and exhibition hall establish(constitute) so much opportunities(occasions) for the general public to make the experience(experiment) of Mucem, side "wings".
