The Notre-Dame Chapel in the hamlet of Mariette (D21 – Mariette – Chapelle de Mariette road sign) opens again after a 2-year closure due to restoration work. Former priory of the Abbey of Étival-en-Charnie, this sanctuary founded in the 12th century was modified in the 16th, 18th and 19th centuries. Thanks to its architecture and furniture, it has preserved traces of these 900 years of history. Open houses on Sunday 19 September from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 6 pm and guided tours at 10:30 am, 2 pm and 4 pm.
