It is a burrow mill with unsinkable pavement, fed by a reservoir of water from the Couasnon. We still see the trace of the ferris wheel on the walls of the waterfall. The water then flowed into the discharge channels, stone corridors that remain today in the gardens. Its origin dates back to the 11th century. It was built at the same time as the fortress of Foulque Nerra originally the castle, built in the 15th century by René d'Anjou. The current large building dates from the 19th century. It had 2 wheels that were replaced by a machine powered by wood and coal, then by a diesel engine and finally by electricity. For centuries the mill made flour and it ceased its activity at the end of 1987. It was bought by a couple of actors who after having rid it of all its machines installed spaces of artistic creation. It occasionally opens its doors to welcome the public.
