Two thousand years ago, the Romans had set up a Gallo-Roman villa on the site of the Tourelles dedicated to the production of wines. For about twenty years, the Mas des Tourelles has hosted a very original experimental archaeology initiative: the reconstitution of a Gallo-Roman cellar life-size and in working condition to vinify grapes with the ancient method. This approach is linked to the presence of archaeological remains of an amphora production workshop with its pottery ovens and the accompaniment of passionate archaeologists.
