Younger child(Junior) of Gascony in the meteoric, precursory rise of the musketeers, the duke d' Épernon makes build this castle under the reigns of Henry IV and of Louis XIII. Sumptuous and military, this palace keeps(preserves) monumental fireplaces, tapestries, painted ceilings... The house crossed centuries and became a prison for women in the XIXth century.
