About the location

Hôtel d'Escouloubre
12 rue Montesquieu, 47000 Agen
  • Lot-et-Garonne
  • Nouvelle-Aquitaine
It is a hotel built in 1773 by the architect Leroy for the Pelissier brothers. The courtyard is closed by a portal framed with pilasters. Both sides of the porch are rounded and covered in the Mansard by a slate roof in fish scales. The interior of the entrance courtyard includes common bricks of curved shape, with five blind arches. The facade on the courtyard has a central pavilion advancing slightly with rounded door. On the first floor, the window is topped with a carved pattern and includes a balcony with Louis XVI balusters. The garden facade, much larger, includes a central pavilion with French windows and wrought iron balcony. The slightly recessed pavilions are underlined by relief pilasters.
