With this workshop «At the school of the scribes» dedicated to 7-10 years, make discover to your children the writing, since the Mesopotamian and Egyptian times. This young audience workshop is divided into two parts: - A presentation time in the form of questions/answers to discover writing as living heritage, since Mesopotamian and Egyptian times (30 min). - A workshop to make a cuneiform syllabary or an Egyptian alphabet on a clay tablet (30 min).

Built in 1851 by the architect Charles Burguet in style the neo-XVIIIth century, in the imitation of the hotel of Lisleferme which faces it, he expresses perfectly the office(durability) of taste the XVIIIth century. Acquired then by the family Calvet, this mansion is representative of a house of big(great) traders of Bordeaux of the XIXth century. It is since 1975 the seat(siege) of the national Academy(Regional education authority) of Sciences, Literature and Arts of Bordeaux.
