Guided tour of Livet Castle
Follow in the footsteps of Countess de Ségur and her daughter, Viscount Olga Simard de Pitray. The Livet Castle was built between 1859 and 1861, by the Viscount Olga Simard of Pitray, on the square of an old castle of the seventeenth century of which remains the Manor and its Tower. A guided tour of the Castle will allow you to learn more about its history associated with that of the Countess de Ségur well known in the region and to discover an authentic decoration with its period furniture, its woodwork, alcoves and some original tapestries. A full tour of the castle by the owners in small group is offered during these two days and a free discovery of the park on 11 hectares with its remarkable landscaping, pond and trees centuries old (Tulip tree of Virginia, Sequoias giants, Oaks, Cedre of Lebanon...).
