Located on the north shore of the Vieux pond, the ornithological observatory is a large «nest» of 35 m² on stilts emerging from the reed bed. Signs in the observatory identify the majority species.
Along the access road, other educational panels inform you about the history of the Saclay plateau, its agricultural interest, the importance of water on the plateau, the local fauna and flora.
