Tour of the Fragonard Museum of the National Veterinary School of Maisons-Alfort
The Fragonard Museum is one of the oldest museums in France. It was created in 1766, at the same time as the Royal Veterinary School of Paris.
The collection has gone through the centuries, resisting revolutions and wars, to present to you an exceptional heritage dedicated to animals, preserved in a fascinating place. Moved three times during its 250 years of existence, it offers the image of a place out of time where thousands of objects are offered to the eyes of visitors transported in the atmosphere of the late nineteenth century.
The museum remained closed to the public until 1991, when it reopened and quickly became a great success. It was renovated in 2008 and now welcomes visitors in the setting that was his in 1902.
