Saint-Maur, garden city at the service of biodiversity
The city of Saint-Maur was transformed by Auguste Marin into a garden city, a heritage carefully cultivated since by most of his successors. Last year, the city received the 2-legged label in recognition of its actions towards animals: birdhouse, doggy park, insect hotel, cat house, worm release… Saint-Maur is a city that loves the living! But the plant is not forgotten. In addition to preserving the 18,000 City Alignment Trees and the City’s PLU Green Grid, Saint-Maur has been engaged for several years in large replanting campaigns involving school children as on the banks of the Marne last year. Fruit trees have also appeared in the squares. All this will be told at the Maison de la Nature and you will also discover how to play with the four seasons to eat well when it is necessary and as it should!
