1919 - 2019: CENTENARY OF THE MOGADOR THEATRE. It was built by an English entrepreneur, owner of many London theatres, Sir Alfred Butt. In the euphoria of the ﬁn of the First World War, he conceived this theatre identical to the Palladium, convinced that he would conquer Paris. Inaugurated with pomp on April 21, 1919, the Palace-Theatre, as it was then called, however began its career badly, before knowing, under the direction of the Isola brothers then under Henri Varna, his first successes.
