As part of the Eole project: "With the new 8 km tunnel infrastructure between Haussmann Saint-Lazare and Nanterre, 3 new stations are being created including the Porte Maillot station. Located under the current roundabout of Porte Maillot and designed by architect JM Duthilleul, this station will be the emblematic footprint of the underground stations of the new RER line E."
