Sand mandala and meditation sessions
In Vajrayâna Buddhism, there are different forms of mandalas, complex structures painted or sculpted used for initiatory progression, or diagram made of colored sand used mainly for meditation.
The most practiced is the Kalachakra mandala (the wheel of time), also called the mandala of peace, because it takes everything into account: the body, the mind, the cosmic and astrological external aspect. He’s capable of creating peace.
The Gyuto monks have practiced the art of the Mandala since their beginning in 1475, with great finesse and associating them with very powerful rituals. We invite you to attend the creation of a sand mandala made by Tibetan monks that will begin the Saturday 16 September from 10:30 and will end with a dissolution ceremony on Sunday 17 September at 17:00.
At the same time you will be offered short introductory meditation sessions.
