The MAC VAL offers to exceptionally open the doors of its reserves. Usually invisible and unknown to the public, the reserves actively participate in the life of the museum. It is within their walls that the dynamics of the museum draws its sources and that the main work applied to the collection is carried out: study, research, inventory, recording, cataloguing, consultation, loan, restoration, maintenance, packaging, photographic photography, exhibition preparation….

The MAC VAL is the first museum to be exclusively devoted to contemporary art in France.
