Launched in 1985, the European Heritage Days have been organised since 1999 jointly by the Council of Europe and the European Union. The themes of the European Heritage Days in 2023 will be «Living Heritage» and «Sports Heritage». In the perspective of the Cultural Olympiad 2024, a second theme, «Heritage of sport», has just been honored. On this occasion the association invites you to discover the actions of the European Union in the different areas concerned.
And because in less than a year, Paris will host the Olympic Games, the 2023 European Heritage Days are an opportunity to discuss the commitment of sports players to European values, but also the social impact of sport and sporting events.
Come and meet our guests and also visit our premises, which are part of the European heritage!

About the location

Maison de l'Europe de Paris
29 avenue de Villiers 75017 Paris
  • Île-de-France
The Maison de l'Europe de Paris is an association governed by the law of 1901 created in 1956 and recognized of public utility by decree in 1973.
Because we need a European public space, the association offers Parisians and Parisians to live Europe on a daily basis.
It is a meeting point for all those who feel the need to discuss European projects and dossiers without necessarily being specialists or convinced. It is also a place open to the public offering a personalised information service through its Europe Direct Information Centre.
House for European citizenship, the House of Europe is open to all, of all ages, of all nationalities, including in its perspective non-Community foreigners.
Working for an active and inclusive European citizenship, the Europe House explores in particular the cultural dimension of the European project, the representation of borders, the democratic and participatory, educational, economic and social issues of Europe.
